Repeat the shape, change the temperature

Most stacks fail for one reason: the two bracelets are competing for the same job. Two chains, two beaded cords, two braided leathers - the eye reads the second one as an unsuccessful attempt at the first. What works is the opposite arrangement. Keep the silhouette identical so the pairing looks deliberate, then make the two pieces disagree about temperature so neither disappears. Eros and Eros is exactly that. The rule about not mixing metals was written for something else

Nobody should match a gold watch to a steel ring, and that is where the rule comes from. It has nothing to say about two bracelets drawn to the same line. When the form is identical, gold and steel stop being a clash and become a pair, the way a photograph and its negative are obviously about the same thing. The practical version of this argument is simpler still: with both cuffs in a drawer, there is no morning when the wrong metal is on your wrist. Wear the gold with a gold watch, the steel with a steel one, or both together on the same arm and let them argue.

Three materials, and one of them is not what people assume

Eros Golden is gold-tone 316L stainless steel joined to a black genuine leather rope. Eros Steel is polished 316L joined to a white rope of braided nylon, not cotton: the fiber family used for sailing line, which resists abrasion and holds its white. So the bundle spans surgical steel, natural leather, and marine cord, and none of the three was chosen to look like jewelry. The seam where each rope meets its metal is the design, and the two seams are the only place the bracelets are identical.

Two bracelets, three materials, one rule each

The steel in both cuffs is 316L, the marine-grade alloy used for surgical instruments. It does not rust and does not turn skin green, and it is the part of this bundle that will need nothing from you for the rest of its life. Everything below concerns the other three surfaces: a gold-tone finish, a black leather rope, and a white nylon rope.

The leather sets the water rule for the pair

Eros Steel would take rain and sweat without noticing. Eros Golden will not, because leather is the one material here that water genuinely damages: soaking pulls the natural oils out, the fiber stiffens as it dries, and the next bend cracks it. Take both cuffs off before the shower, the pool, and the ocean. Occasional rain is not a problem for either. Gold tone reacts to chemistry, white rope reacts to oil

A gold-tone finish is a surface, and surfaces are attacked by cologne, hairspray, soap, and polishing compounds rather than by wear. A white nylon rope resists water and abrasion but holds onto anything oily that touches it, which means sunscreen and hand cream. Both problems have the same solution and it takes two seconds: the bracelets go on last, after everything you spray or rub into your skin.

Care

• Put both on after cologne, sunscreen, and hand cream. Take both off before water.
• Wipe the steel and the gold tone with a soft dry cloth. No polish, no dips, no ultrasonic cleaners.
• Spot-clean the white rope with a damp cloth and mild soap. Never bleach, never machine wash.
• Condition the black leather two or three times a year with a small amount of balm on a cloth.
• Bend each cuff with two hands rather than forcing one end. Steel takes hundreds of gentle adjustments and dislikes one violent one.
• Store them in the Caligio pouch bag rather than loose against each other, so the gold tone does not meet the steel edge.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. Both Eros cuffs are built on 316L stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, the alloy dermatologists point to as the safe default for reactive skin and continuous daily wear.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.
