The Caligio Nylon Bracelets collection is the waterproof side of the rope catalog. Every piece uses marine-grade or Milan-style nylon cord paired with 316L surgical stainless steel hardware - a combination that handles water, sweat, sun, and daily wear without fading, fraying, or losing shape. If your bracelet gets wet, nothing happens. That said, we don't recommend wearing nylon in the pool or ocean every day - rinsing and air-drying after water exposure keeps the cord looking sharp for longer. The hardware never needs any care at all.
The collection spans six lines. Fortune uses double-strand Milan rope in eight colors with a fully customizable D-shackle - swap it for a C-type or bow shackle in silver, gold, or black for nine hardware combinations. Nautical brings the maritime heritage design in nylon with the same interchangeable shackle system. Omega USA and Rio also support shackle customization. Binate is a double-strand nylon cuff with a fixed D-shackle. Gio Nylon and Monro use a fixed screw clasp. All hypoallergenic, all tarnish-free, all 316L steel. Priced at $39 per piece. Designed in California, gift-boxed, ships worldwide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are nylon bracelets waterproof?
Yes. Nylon cord is water-resistant and the 316L surgical stainless steel hardware is fully waterproof, tarnish-free, and rust-free. If the bracelet gets wet - rain, sweat, splashes - nothing happens. For extended water exposure like swimming or showering daily, rinse with fresh water and let it air-dry. This keeps the cord in top condition longer.
What is the difference between nylon and cotton Caligio bracelets?
Nylon is slimmer, more resilient, and handles water better - it dries fast and holds its shape through heavy daily use. Cotton is softer, slightly thicker, and has a more matte organic texture that feels warmer on the wrist. Both use 316L steel hardware. Pick nylon if you're active or want water resistance. Pick cotton if you prioritize softness and breathability.
Which nylon collections have interchangeable shackles?
Fortune, Nautical, Omega USA, and Rio all support shackle swaps - replace the default D-shackle with a C-type or bow shackle in silver, gold, or black ion-plated finish through the bracelet-parts collection. Nine total hardware combinations per band. Binate, Gio Nylon, and Monro use fixed closures that are not interchangeable.
What is Milan rope and how is it different from standard nylon?
Milan rope is a premium double-strand braided nylon with a tighter, more refined finish than standard single-cord nylon. Used in the Fortune collection, it gives more visual weight and a cleaner surface appearance than a basic rope bracelet. Holds color well through UV exposure and water contact.
What size should I order?
Size M fits most men and is the most popular pick. S fits wrists up to 6.7". L fits wrists up to 8". All bracelets are available in S, M, L and XL. Wrap a tape measure around your wrist and match to the size chart on each product page.
Will the nylon color fade in the sun?
No - nylon holds color well through normal UV exposure. Marine-grade nylon is engineered for outdoor conditions. For best long-term color life, store the bracelet out of direct sunlight when not worn. The 316L steel hardware never fades or tarnishes regardless of sun or water exposure.
Is the hardware hypoallergenic?
Yes. All pieces use 316L surgical stainless steel - medical-grade alloy, nickel-free and copper-free. No green-wrist reaction, no skin irritation. The nylon cord is also skin-safe for daily wear. Suitable for sensitive skin and continuous wear.
What colors are available?
Fortune: Grey, Navy Blue, Turquoise, Orange, Red Wine, Yellow, Green, Black. Binate: Green, Blue, Green Dotted, Blue Dotted. Nautical Nylon: Black, Blue, Cap Ferrat. Gio Nylon: Navy Blue, Black. Omega USA: Blue, Red. Monro: Brown, Royal Blue, Dove. Rio (Final Sale): Royal Blue, Pecan, Coral.
Can I stack a nylon bracelet with other Caligio pieces?
Yes. Nylon rope stacks well with leather, steel cuffs, and chain pieces. The slim cord profile leaves room for one or two other pieces. Keep metal finishes consistent across pieces. Fortune and Nautical in silver shackle pair well with Arc Steel or Eros Steel. Gold shackle Fortune pairs naturally with gold-finish cuffs or chains.
Which nylon bracelet should I buy first?
Fortune Navy Blue or Fortune Grey - the two most versatile picks in the collection. Both are bestsellers, both have the interchangeable D-shackle system, and both pair with the widest range of outfits. Go Fortune Turquoise or Orange for a bolder color. Go Binate Blue for more wrist presence with the double-strand profile.
