Orange is the complement of blue on the color wheel, the one shade that makes blue look more blue. Denim makers have known it for a century and a half: the stitching on jeans has been orange since the first riveted pair, precisely because the two colors electrify each other. So an orange bracelet over a denim cuff is not a bold experiment. It is the oldest color pairing in menswear, moved three inches down the arm. Against a black tee it burns, against a grey hoodie it wakes the whole outfit, and against white it makes you the best dressed man in the room without changing anything else.

When the builders of the Golden Gate Bridge had to choose a color that would stay visible through fog, they chose International Orange, and never repainted. Orange is what humans pick when being noticed is the entire job. A wardrobe is eighty percent neutrals, and neutrals are savings: orange is the color that spends them. Nylon and 316L steel: built for water, with one exception

Fortune Orange is waterproof in the way that matters daily. The rope is braided nylon, the fiber family used for sailing line, and it barely absorbs water. The shackle is 316L stainless steel, the marine-grade alloy, and it does not rust. Showers, rain, sweat, and fresh water are non-events. The one exception is salt water: it will not destroy the bracelet, but salt crystallizes inside a braid as it dries and dulls both the color and the plating over time. Take it off before the ocean if you want it to keep looking the way it arrived.

A bright color asks one habit of you

Orange lives on saturation, and saturation is what oil flattens: sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream settle into a braid, hold dust, and mute a loud color into a quiet one. The habit costs two seconds: the bracelet goes on last, after everything you spray or rub in. If it mutes, work it gently with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, let it air dry away from heat, and the brightness comes back.

Care

• Put it on last, after sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream.
• Shower, rain, sweat, fresh water: no action needed. Salt water: take it off, or rinse it in fresh water after and let it air dry.
• Spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. No bleach, no machine wash.
• Wipe the shackle with a soft dry cloth. It needs nothing else.
• Store it in the Caligio pouch bag rather than loose, where a braid collects dust.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. The Fortune shackle is 316L stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, the alloy dermatologists point to as the safe default for reactive skin and continuous daily wear.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
