Persian riders set it into bridles, Tibetan traders carried it across passes, and sailors in the Mediterranean wore the color of shallow water as insurance against deep water. A bracelet named Fortune in the traveler's color is not subtle about what it is referencing. And like every bracelet in the Fortune collection, it carries the red accent thread woven between its two strands: the oldest good-luck sign there is, always on your wrist, wherever the road goes. What turquoise does to the rest of your clothes

Most bright colors on a wrist compete. Turquoise cooperates, and it does it by contrast temperature. Against white it is the loudest thing you own. Against navy it turns the navy richer instead of fighting it. Against black it reads the way a pool reads at night, and against a tan forearm in July it looks inevitable. It is the one saturated color a man can wear without owning a single other saturated thing, because water sits next to everything.

Same rope, different weather

Underneath the color, this is the same machine as every Fortune: two strands of braided nylon Milan rope, a silver-plated 316L stainless steel D-shackle, and the red thread. Choose the shackle in silver, black matte, or gold at checkout, and swap it later by hand for any D, O, or C shape from bracelet parts. Gold on turquoise is the loud choice, and it is the correct one more often than expected: it is the palette of the Mediterranean coast, and it is why the combination reads as a holiday rather than as jewelry.

A bright color on a fiber built to keep it

Turquoise is the hardest kind of color to keep bright, which is exactly why Caligio puts it on nylon. The rope is braided from the fiber family used for sailing line: it barely absorbs water, dries fast, and holds dye the way cotton never has. The shackle is 316L stainless steel, the marine-grade alloy. Showers, rain, sweat, and fresh water are non-events for both.

The salt water recommendation

A turquoise bracelet will spend its life near the ocean, so this matters here more than on any other color. Salt will not destroy the bracelet, but it crystallizes inside a braid as it dries, and crystals scatter light: a saturated color goes chalky sooner in salt than in anything else. Take it off before the ocean, or rinse it in fresh water afterward and let it air dry. That single habit is the difference between a turquoise that stays tropical and one that fades to a memory of it.

Oil dulls faster than sun

Sunscreen is the natural companion of this bracelet and its quietest enemy: the oil settles into the braid and holds dust, which greys a bright rope from the inside. The bracelet goes on after the last application, not before the first. Marks lift with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, air dried away from heat.

Care

• Put it on last, after sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream.
• Shower, rain, sweat, fresh water: no action needed. Salt water: take it off, or rinse fresh and air dry after.
• Spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. No bleach, no machine wash.
• Wipe the shackle with a soft dry cloth. It needs nothing else.
• Store it in the Caligio pouch bag rather than loose, where a braid collects dust.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. The Fortune shackle is 316L stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, the alloy dermatologists point to as the safe default for reactive skin and continuous daily wear.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
