The color fortune is actually made of

Fortune means gold, and yellow is the color of gold without the gold. For centuries in imperial China, yellow was reserved for the emperor alone: an ordinary citizen could be punished for wearing it, because the color itself was treated as wealth. That is the shade on this rope. And like every bracelet in the Fortune collection, it carries the red accent thread woven between its strands, the oldest good-luck sign there is, riding on the one color that has always meant what the collection is named for. The human eye is tuned to yellow

This is not a style opinion. It is optics. The eye's sensitivity peaks in the yellow band of the spectrum, which is why taxis, road signs, and tennis balls are yellow: it is the color the brain finds fastest. On a wrist, that means Fortune Yellow is the single most visible object a man can wear at this size. Nothing on your arm, including the watch, will be seen first. This is the bracelet for the man who has decided that being noticed is not an accident.

One rule: yellow does the talking

Yellow against black is the highest-contrast pairing nature ever drew, and it works on a wrist for the same reason it works on a wasp: it cannot be ignored. Over a black tee it collects compliments, over dark denim it gives the whole outfit a story, over charcoal it is the one warm thing in the frame. The rule is simply to let it work alone. One yellow, everything else quiet, and the outfit reads as confidence rather than as noise.

Two strands of braided nylon Milan rope and a silver-plated 316L stainless steel D-shackle, like every bracelet in the Fortune collection. The shackle comes in silver, black matte, or gold at checkout, and any D, O, or C shape from bracelet parts swaps in by hand. Black matte on yellow is the wasp, the sharpest contrast in the line. Gold on yellow is tone on tone, the color of fortune closed with the metal of it. Nylon and 316L steel: built for water, with one exception

Fortune Yellow is waterproof in the way that matters daily. The rope is braided nylon, the fiber family used for sailing line, and it barely absorbs water. The shackle is 316L stainless steel, the marine-grade alloy, and it does not rust. Showers, rain, sweat, and fresh water are non-events. The one exception is salt water: it will not destroy the bracelet, but salt crystallizes inside a braid as it dries and dulls both the color and the plating over time. Take it off before the ocean if you want it to keep looking the way it arrived.

The lightest bright color earns the strictest habit

Yellow is the palest of the loud colors, which means it shows what darker ropes hide: the film that sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream leave when they settle into a braid and hold dust. The habit costs two seconds and does all the work: the bracelet goes on last, after everything you spray or rub in. If it dulls, work it gently with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, let it air dry away from heat, and the brightness comes back.

Care

• Put it on last, after sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream.
• Shower, rain, sweat, fresh water: no action needed. Salt water: take it off, or rinse it in fresh water after and let it air dry.
• Spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. No bleach, no machine wash.
• Wipe the shackle with a soft dry cloth. It needs nothing else.
• Store it in the Caligio pouch bag rather than loose, where a braid collects dust.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. The Fortune shackle is 316L stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, the alloy dermatologists point to as the safe default for reactive skin and continuous daily wear.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
