Why orange works on steel

Among the six silver-chain variants, this is the one with volume. Navy is quiet, black is conservative, green sits in the middle, red is the sharp accent. Orange arrives first and stays first. It works because the chain underneath is plain polished steel with no ornament, which gives a loud color a clean surface to sit against. The silver cools the orange just enough that it reads as confident rather than costume, and the orange warms the silver just enough that the steel stops reading as purely technical.

Why two rows

A single chain turns on the wrist until it shows its edge. Two rows of round box chain tied together by woven cord cannot do that: the cord holds them as one band, so the bracelet stays face-up and the orange line between the silver rows stays where you put it. That matters more on a bright colorway than on any other, because a bright line that sits straight looks deliberate, and one that twists looks like an accident.

316L surgical stainless steel

The chain and clasp are made from 316L surgical stainless steel, the medical-grade alloy used in surgical implants and premium watch cases. Its high chromium content forms a self-repairing oxide layer on the surface, which is why 316L does not rust, does not tarnish, and does not turn skin green. It contains no nickel available to the skin and no copper, so it is safe for sensitive wrists and continuous daily wear.

Natural steel finish

This variant carries no coating at all. The silver tone is the color of the alloy itself, polished, which means there is no plating layer that can wear through and no finish that can change color over time. What arrives on your wrist is what the bracelet will look like in ten years.

Woven cord

Orange marine-grade cord runs between the two rows of links, dyed through the fiber rather than coated on the surface, so there is no layer to scratch away. Orange is the brightest cord in the collection, which makes it the one that most rewards being stored out of direct sun between wears.

Care

• Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear. This is the only routine care the piece needs.
• Showers, rain, sweat, and pool water are fine for both the steel and the cord.
• Rinse with fresh water and pat dry after salt water or chlorine.
• Put it on after cologne, sunscreen, or lotion, once the skin is dry.
• Store it in the Caligio pouch bag, away from direct sunlight. Bright cord colors stay brightest out of the sun.
• Skip bleach, alcohol, abrasive cleaners, and ultrasonic jewelry machines. None of them are needed.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys, and fading comes from thin electroplating. This piece uses neither. If you have reacted to jewelry before, 316L steel is the alloy dermatologists point to as the safe default, and the hypoallergenic range at Caligio is built on it.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
