Gold needs something to push against

Gold on its own is loud. Put a gold-tone cuff on a bare wrist and it announces itself before you do. Eros Golden solves that in the oldest way there is: it gives the gold a dark neighbor. Half the cuff is 316L stainless steel in a gold-tone finish, the other half is black leather rope, and the leather absorbs light exactly where the metal throws it back. What you notice is not the gold. What you notice is the line where the two meet.

The brief that produced it

Eros came out of a conversation with a Caligio customer who wanted one bracelet that did everything at once: metal and leather in the same piece, no clasp to fumble with, no small part that could be lost, a fit that worked on any wrist, and a look neutral enough that a man or a woman could wear it. Caligio's designers arrived at the answer by removing things. There is no closure on Eros Golden. It is an open cuff, and you slide it on.

It fits by bending, not by measuring

The steel arc adjusts with bare hands in about two seconds. Squeeze to tighten, pull gently to open. An open cuff has no fixed circumference, which is why the same bracelet works on a slim wrist and a broad one, and why it is unisex without a separate version.

What you are actually wearing

316L stainless steel in a gold-tone finish, joined to black leather rope, open-cuff construction, no clasp. Two sizes plus a bend, and Eros Golden XL reaches 9.3 inches. The steel and white cotton version is Eros Steel. Gold-tone 316L stainless steel and black leather

The metal is 316L stainless steel with a gold-tone finish. The steel underneath does not rust and does not turn skin green. The leather is a natural material, which means it responds to what you put it through: it darkens where it is handled, softens where it bends, and eventually carries the shape of the wrist that wore it.

Eros Golden is not waterproof

Take it off before the shower, the pool, the ocean, and a hard workout. Leather is skin, and skin does not want to be soaked. Water pulls the natural oils out of leather; the fiber stiffens as it dries, then cracks the next time it bends. Repeated soaking is what ruins a leather bracelet, and heat on wet leather ruins it faster. Occasional rain is not a problem. Protecting a gold-tone finish

A gold finish is a surface, and surfaces wear where they rub. The two enemies are abrasion and chemistry: a desk edge, a car door, a gym bar on one side, and cologne, hairspray, and cleaning products on the other. Put the bracelet on after everything you spray, and take it off before anything you lift.

Care

• Take it off before water, before the gym, and before applying anything to your skin or hair.
• If it gets wet, blot with a towel and let it dry at room temperature. Never a dryer, a radiator, or direct sun.
• Wipe the gold-tone steel with a soft dry cloth. No polish, no chemical cleaners.
• Condition the leather two or three times a year with a small amount of leather balm on a cloth.
• Bend the cuff with two hands rather than forcing one end. Steel takes hundreds of gentle adjustments and dislikes one violent one.
• Store it in the Caligio pouch bag, away from direct sun and radiators.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. The Eros Golden cuff is built on 316L stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, the alloy dermatologists point to as the safe default for reactive skin and continuous daily wear.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
