Genuine leather records what happens to it, and a pale leather records it in public. Tan brown darkens where a thumb rests, where a sleeve rubs, where sun reaches it, and after a year the bracelet carries a map of a specific wrist. Black conceals every one of those events and simply grows softer. This is the interesting part of owning the pair: two bracelets that leave Los Angeles identical in build, and become completely different objects on the same arm.

Two straps each, one steel

Both bracelets are two-strap builds closed with a stainless steel shackle, so the metal never has to be decided. Two straps matter more than they sound: a single band of leather stiffens across the wrist bone, while two narrower straps follow it. The wrist that wears black and tan together already has a rule for how the colors sit, since it is the same rule that puts a brown shoe under a navy suit and a black shoe under a grey one. Stack the pair on one arm, split them one per hand, or let the outfit choose in the morning. The pair exists so that the morning has an answer.

Two leathers with different tolerances

Both bracelets are genuine leather closed with stainless steel. The steel needs nothing for the rest of its life. The leather is the part that lives, and the two colors do not live the same way: a pale tan shows every oil and every mark, while black absorbs them into itself. Care for the tan and the black takes care of itself.

Leather is not waterproof

Take both off before the shower, the pool, the ocean, and a hard workout. Water pulls the natural oils out of leather; the fiber stiffens as it dries, and the next bend cracks it. Repeated soaking is what ruins a leather bracelet, and heat applied to wet leather ruins it faster. Occasional rain is not a problem. The tan one goes on last

Sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream mark a pale leather permanently and vanish on a black one. That single asymmetry explains most of the complaints anyone has about brown bracelets, and it is solved by a two-second habit: the bracelets go on after everything else, and come off first. Condition both two or three times a year with a colorless balm, since a tinted one will darken tan brown and do nothing at all for black.

Care

• Put both on last, after cologne, sunscreen, and hand cream. Take both off first.
• Take both off before water. If they get wet, blot with a towel and dry at room temperature, never near heat.
• Condition two or three times a year with a small amount of colorless leather balm on a cloth.
• Wipe the steel shackles with a soft dry cloth. No polish, no dips.
• Expect the tan to darken with use. That is the material working, not failing.
• Store them flat in the Caligio pouch bag, away from direct sun.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. Both shackles are stainless steel, which is the safe default for reactive skin and continuous daily wear.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
