Why a cable cuff grips without pressing

The band is not a solid bar. It is fine steel wire twisted into cable, and twisted cable behaves differently from the metal it is made of. Each strand can move a fraction against its neighbors, so the whole band flexes and returns instead of bending and staying bent. That is the reason this cuff can hold the wrist firmly and still put no pressure on it. Marine and industrial engineering figured this out long before jewelry borrowed it.

One size, both wrists

Each bracelet is an open cuff sized 6 to 7.7 inches, adjusted by hand on the wrist. There is no clasp, no chart, and nothing to measure before you buy. Both pieces are unisex by construction rather than by marketing.

Stainless steel cable

Both bracelets in this bundle are stainless steel. Steel does not rust, does not tarnish, and does not turn skin green. There is no leather, no cotton, and no coating holding the structure together, which is why these two are among the least demanding pieces Caligio makes. They are waterproof without conditions.

Wear them in the water

Swimming, showering, and salt water are all fine. Rinse with fresh water afterward and dry with a soft cloth. Salt and chlorine will not damage steel, but either one left to dry on the golden edge detail will dull it over months, and a rinse takes ten seconds.

Adjusting a cable cuff

The cable flexes and returns, which means it forgives a gentle adjustment and resists a hard one. Hold the bracelet at both ends, squeeze slightly to close or ease apart to open, and check the fit on the wrist between each small correction. Never bend it flat and never twist it against the cable's own direction.

Care

• Rinse with fresh water after salt water, chlorine, or heavy sweat, then dry with a soft cloth.
• Wipe both bracelets with a soft dry cloth to keep the golden edges bright. No polish and no chemical dips.
• Adjust in small steps with two hands, checking the fit as you go.
• Store them in the Caligio pouch bag rather than loose with other metal, which is where scratches come from.
• If you wear both on one wrist, wipe them after taking them off. Steel against steel is harmless, and the polish lasts longer for the wiping.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. Both bracelets are stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, which is the safe default for reactive skin and continuous daily wear. Two people can wear these every day without either of them thinking about it again.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
