A watch bracelet, without the watch

Look at what a good watch is actually wearing. Not the dial. The bracelet: wide flat links, a taper toward the clasp, weight distributed across the wrist rather than hanging from one point. That engineering exists because a watch has to sit still while a hand moves all day. Navigator Gold takes those proportions and removes the dial. What is left is the part of a luxury timepiece that touches you, at the width and mass of a watch bracelet, with nothing to tell the time.

Weight is the design, not a side effect

Most men's bracelets are built to disappear. Navigator Gold is built to be felt. Density is the oldest signal of quality there is, which is why a heavy pen writes better than a light one and why a car door is engineered to close with a particular sound. A substantial bracelet does not swing off the wrist bone; it settles. You stop noticing it after ten minutes and then notice it again every time you turn your hand.

Cuban link, at full scale

The links are Cuban: interlocking, twisted, each one flattened so the surface catches light in a continuous line rather than in scattered points. On a thin chain that pattern reads as jewelry. At this width it reads as hardware. This is the same geometry Caligio uses in the Cuban link collection, scaled up until it stops being a chain and starts being a bracelet.

Stainless steel under a gold-tone coating

Two different things are happening on this bracelet. The steel underneath is the structure: it does not rust, does not bend out of shape, and does not turn skin green. The gold-tone coating on top is the appearance, and appearance is a surface. Everything below is about protecting the surface, because the structure looks after itself.

Water, and what we recommend

Rain, sweat, and washing your hands are not a problem. Caligio recommends taking Navigator Gold off before a pool, the ocean, and anything involving soap or cleaning products. Chlorine, salt, and detergent all attack a coating long before they touch the steel, and a gold finish does not grow back.

Abrasion is the real enemy

A coating wears where it rubs, not where it sits. The three places that take a wide bracelet's finish are a desk edge, a car door, and a gym bar, and all three do their damage in seconds rather than over years. Take it off before you lift anything heavy. Put it on after cologne, hairspray, and hand cream.

Cleaning a Cuban link bracelet

Debris collects between links, not on them. Wipe the outer surface with a soft dry cloth, and once a month run a dry soft-bristle brush along the seams where the links interlock. Do not use polish, jewelry dips, or ultrasonic cleaners: all three are designed to remove a thin surface layer, which on this bracelet is the layer you paid for.

Care

• Take it off before pools, salt water, soap, and the gym.
• Put it on after anything you spray or rub into skin or hair.
• Wipe with a soft dry cloth. No polish, no chemical dips, no ultrasonic cleaner.
• Brush between the links once a month with a dry soft-bristle brush.
• Store it flat in the Caligio pouch bag rather than tangled with other metal, which is where scratches come from.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. Navigator Gold is built on stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, which is the safe default for reactive skin and continuous daily wear.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
