Italian luxury houses turned woven leather into a legend for one reason: it is a status marker with no logo on it, a texture recognized by the people who know and invisible to everyone else. Prime Black Braided Leather XL brings that language to bigger wrists: supple black leather woven into a tight, rounded braid that reads like the strap of a serious watch, now fitting up to 8.8 inches. The standard version tops out at 8.2. This one carries the same weave past that.

The clasp with the house initial

The closure is shaped as the letter C, Caligio's initial worn as hardware, and it is the most comfortable clasp the brand has ever built. Two systems work together: a magnet that pulls the bracelet shut the moment the ends meet, and a mechanical snap latch that locks over it. On with one hand in a second, held by double fixation all day, whatever the wrist size.

Soft from day one

The Prime line dates to 2019, and this braided model has been a top seller through all of it. The leather is soft and warm against the skin from the first wear, with no break-in period, and the rounded braid keeps its shape year after year. It is the classic office bracelet: under a shirt cuff at the desk, visible at the handshake, correct in both places.

Leather rules, and the clasp that needs none

The C-clasp is stainless steel: it does not rust, tarnish, or wear out its magnet with use. The braid is genuine leather, and leather has one law: it lives long and looks better with age if it stays dry.

Prime Black Braided Leather XL is not waterproof

Take it off before the shower, the pool, and the ocean. Soaked leather dries stiff, and the tight braid holds moisture longer than a flat strap would. Occasional rain drops are not an event, just towel them off. And heat is worse than water: never dry leather on a radiator or leave it on a car dashboard in summer, because heat is what cracks it.

What keeps the braid beautiful

Skin oils are actually good for leather in small doses; sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream are not, settling into the weave and dulling the surface. The bracelet goes on last, after everything you spray or rub in. If the braid dulls over the years, a drop of colorless leather conditioner worked in with a cloth revives the depth.

• Never dry it near heat: radiators and dashboards crack leather.
• Once in a while, a drop of colorless leather conditioner keeps the braid supple.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. The Prime clasp is stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, the safe default for reactive skin, and the leather braid is a natural material against the skin.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
