One bracelet, any wrist

The original Eros brief asked for something unusual: a bracelet that would fit anyone. Not a men's version and a women's version, not four sizes and a hope. One piece. An open cuff is the only construction that delivers it, because a cuff has no circumference until it is worn. Eros Golden XL rests at 9.3 inches, the widest measurement Caligio makes, and closes down by hand from there. It is the same bracelet on a 9 inch wrist and on a wrist two inches smaller.

Gold needs something to push against

Half the cuff is 316L stainless steel in a gold-tone finish, half is black leather rope. The leather absorbs light exactly where the metal throws it back, which keeps the gold from dominating. On a broad wrist this balance matters more, because there is more surface for a bright metal to occupy, and more room for it to look like too much.

Nothing to lose

There is no clasp on Eros Golden XL, no shackle, and no screw pin. The customer who helped design this line wanted a bracelet with no small part that could disappear, and Caligio answered by subtraction. On a large wrist the point sharpens: a clasp sits at the widest part of the arm and takes the most strain. This one has nothing there at all.

Where it sits in your rotation

A gold-tone watch, a black leather strap, an evening shirt. Below 8 inches, the standard Eros Golden is the right choice. The steel and white cotton version at this length is Eros Steel XL. Gold-tone 316L stainless steel and black leather

The metal is 316L stainless steel with a gold-tone finish. The steel underneath does not rust and does not turn skin green. The leather is a natural material, which means it responds to what you put it through: it darkens where it is handled, softens where it bends, and eventually carries the shape of the wrist that wore it.

Eros Golden XL is not waterproof

Take it off before the shower, the pool, the ocean, and a hard workout. Leather is skin, and skin does not want to be soaked. Water pulls the natural oils out of leather; the fiber stiffens as it dries, then cracks the next time it bends. Repeated soaking is what ruins a leather bracelet, and heat on wet leather ruins it faster. Occasional rain is not a problem. Setting a large cuff

A wider cuff has a longer lever than a small one, so it moves further per squeeze. Adjust in small increments, put it on, adjust again. Set it so the cuff rests against the wrist without pressure. A cuff worn loose on a broad wrist rotates all day, which drags the gold-tone side across sleeves and desk edges, and abrasion is the one thing a finish cannot recover from.

Care

• Take it off before water, before the gym, and before applying anything to your skin or hair.
• If it gets wet, blot with a towel and let it dry at room temperature. Never a dryer, a radiator, or direct sun.
• Wipe the gold-tone steel with a soft dry cloth. No polish, no chemical cleaners.
• Condition the leather two or three times a year with a small amount of leather balm on a cloth.
• Bend the cuff with two hands rather than forcing one end. Steel takes hundreds of gentle adjustments and dislikes one violent one.
• Store it in the Caligio pouch bag, away from direct sun and radiators.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. The Eros Golden XL cuff is built on 316L stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, the alloy dermatologists point to as the safe default for reactive skin and continuous daily wear.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
