Caligio's XL rope bracelets reach 8.5 or 9 inches. Eros Steel XL reaches 9.3, and it is the only piece in the store that goes that far. There is a reason, and it is not generosity. A rope bracelet has to be cut to a length. A cuff does not. The steel arc bends open, so the number on the size chart is where the cuff sits at rest rather than where it stops.

Nothing to lose, at any size

Eros began with a Caligio customer who wanted a bracelet with no clasp to fumble with and no small part that could disappear. The design answers by subtraction: no shackle, no screw pin, no magnet. Half the cuff is polished 316L stainless steel, half is a white braided nylon rope, and you slide it on. That matters more on a large wrist, where clasps sit at the widest part of the arm and take the most strain.

Bending a large cuff

Squeeze the ends together to tighten, pull them apart to open, and use two hands. A wider cuff has a longer lever, so it moves further per squeeze than a small one. Adjust in small steps, try it on, adjust again. Steel takes hundreds of gentle corrections and dislikes a single violent one.

Where it sits in your rotation

316L stainless steel and white nylon rope

The steel half is 316L, the marine-grade alloy used for surgical instruments. It does not rust, does not tarnish, and does not turn skin green. The rope half is braided nylon rather than cotton, which changes what it asks of you. Nylon barely absorbs water, dries quickly, and resists abrasion. What it does do is hold onto anything oily that touches it, and white shows everything.

Water is not the enemy here. Chemistry is.

Rain and sweat are non-events for this bracelet, which is unusual for anything with rope on it. Pools and the ocean are a different matter, and not because the bracelet would fall apart. Chlorine and salt attack the whiteness of a light synthetic over time, and nothing puts that back. Take it off before swimming. Setting a large cuff

A wider cuff has a longer lever than a small one, so it moves further per squeeze. Adjust in small increments, put it on, adjust again. Set it so the cuff rests against the wrist without pressure. A cuff worn loose on a broad wrist rotates all day and puts the rope half where the steel half should be.

Care

• Put it on after sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream. Take it off before pools and salt water.
• If it gets wet, blot it with a towel and let it dry at room temperature. Never use a dryer, a radiator, or direct sun.
• Clean the rope with a damp cloth and mild soap, spot by spot. No bleach.
• Wipe the steel with a soft dry cloth. It needs nothing else.
• Bend the cuff with two hands rather than forcing one end. Steel takes hundreds of gentle adjustments and dislikes one violent one.
• Store it in the Caligio pouch bag rather than loose in a drawer, where the braid picks up dust.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. Eros Steel XL is 316L stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, the alloy dermatologists point to as the safe default for reactive skin and continuous daily wear.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days.
