Navy is the darkest color that is still a color

The luck thread, and the steel that holds it

The red thread woven between the strands is one of the oldest good-luck signs there is, and on navy it reads like a signal against midnight water. The 316L steel shackle ships fitted, and because Fortune hardware is interchangeable, any D, O, or C shackle from bracelet parts swaps in by hand: silver on navy is the classic marine pairing, black matte turns the whole bracelet into a shadow with a red spark in it.

Nylon and 316L steel: built for water, with one exception

Fortune Navy Blue XL is waterproof in the way that matters daily. The rope is braided nylon, the fiber family used for sailing line, and it barely absorbs water. The shackle is 316L stainless steel, the marine-grade alloy, and it does not rust. Showers, rain, sweat, and fresh water are non-events. The one exception is salt water: it will not destroy the bracelet, but salt crystallizes inside a braid as it dries and dulls both the color and the plating over time. Take it off before the ocean if you want it to keep looking the way it arrived.

Dark colors hide marks and show dust

Navy forgives what pale ropes cannot: a mark that would show on beige disappears into midnight blue. What a dark braid does show is the fine grey film that oil collects, because sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream settle into a braid and hold dust there. The fix costs two seconds: the bracelet goes on last, after everything you spray or rub in. If it dulls, work it gently with a damp cloth and a little mild soap and let it air dry away from heat.

• Shower, rain, sweat, fresh water: no action needed. Salt water: take it off, or rinse it in fresh water after and let it air dry.
• Spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. No bleach, no machine wash.
• Wipe the shackle with a soft dry cloth. It needs nothing else.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. The Fortune shackle is 316L stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, the alloy dermatologists point to as the safe default for reactive skin and continuous daily wear.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
