We could have listed eight lengths in half-centimetre steps. We deliberately did not, because a longer list does not make the choice more accurate - it makes it slower. Three sizes cover almost every adult wrist, and the one honest exception is handled somewhere else entirely rather than by adding a fourth number to every product page.
Here is what each one is actually for, in plain terms.
S is for smaller guys. Slimmer builds, shorter frames, wrists from 15 to 17 cm. It also fits most women, which is worth saying because nothing about the construction or the price changes between sizes.
M is the standard, and it fits roughly six men in ten. Under six feet tall, standard build, no excess weight - that is the M profile, and it covers the 17 to 19 cm band where most adult men actually land.
