A design that time made, not a brand

The founder's grandfather used to say he saw bracelets like these at fairs back in the 1970s, and we believe him. The flat-braided rope bracelet closed with a steel shackle belongs to no one: sailors, fairs, and harbor towns passed it around for decades before any label touched it, which is exactly why it never goes out of style. Caligio has built it since the brand's first day in 2019, and the Nautical Black is that classic in city clothes.

A sea design that moved to the city

Black is what happens when a harbor classic commutes: the same soft flat-braided cotton, the same polished shackle, in the one color that matches everything a wardrobe holds. Against the dark rope, the tricolor whipping at the ends, navy, cream, and black wraps, does the talking, a small flash of rigging on an otherwise monochrome band. It reads casual with a t-shirt and deliberate under a jacket cuff.

The clasp you choose yourself

The screw-pin D-shackle, engraved with the Caligio name, is the fastener sailing crews have trusted for two centuries, and it is customizable: Silver, Black, or Gold at checkout. Black rope with a black shackle goes full murdered-out; gold against black is the boldest pairing in the line. Spare shackles live in the bracelet parts collection.

Cotton rules, steel exceptions

The shackle is stainless steel and needs nothing: no rust, no tarnish, ever. The rope is natural cotton, and cotton has one law: it keeps its shape and color if it stays dry.

The Nautical is not a swimming bracelet

Ironic for the name, but honest: braided cotton holds water deep in the weave, dries slowly, and stiffens as it goes. Take it off before the shower, the pool, and the ocean. Rain drops are not an event, just towel them off. For a bracelet that actually lives in water, Caligio builds the marine-rope Fortune collection and solid steel pieces.

Keeping black black

Black cotton dulls from product film, not from age: sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream settle into the braid and grey it out. The bracelet goes on last. A soft dry brush lifts dust from the weave; spot-clean with a barely damp cloth and let it air-dry away from heat.

Care

• Put it on last, after sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream.
• Keep it out of the shower, the pool, and the ocean. Towel off rain drops.
• Air-dry away from radiators and direct sun.
• Brush the braid with a soft dry brush; spot-clean with a barely damp cloth.
• Check the shackle pin is snug now and then; it threads tight in seconds.
• Store it in the Caligio pouch bag.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. The shackle is stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, and the rope is natural cotton: the safe combination for reactive skin.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

Your orders are picked, packed, and shipped the same day from Los Angeles, California. The products ordered after 2PM PST are shipped the very next working day. The shipping department is on duty Monday through Saturday, excluding holidays.

Once your order has been processed, you will receive an email with your tracking number that allows you to check the order’s location. You have up to 2 hours after placing an order to request editing or canceling the order by writing to email support@caligio.com

Make sure to pick up your order in time to avoid any negative carry-outs after the product is delivered, as Caligio doesn’t take any responsibilities for orders after the status changes to Delivered. Please note, sometimes delivery providers may come up with a shipment delay due to the restrictions issued by countries' governments in these challenging times. Therefore, there may be cases when the package arrives several days after you receive a delivery notification.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
