One warm gradient, from leather to stone

Prime Brown Beads is built on a single idea of color: dark brown braided Italian leather flowing into golden tiger eye, the stone whose amber bands seem to continue the leather's tone in mineral form. Half the bracelet is made in a workshop, half was made underground over millions of years, and on the wrist they read as one warm line. Of the two Beads models, this is the tonal one, the pairing that looks composed rather than contrasted.

Golden tiger eye: the classic of the stone

This is tiger eye in its most famous form, honey and amber bands with the luminous stripe that gave the stone its name. The fibers inside lie in parallel, and light reflects off them in a single bright band that travels across each bead as the wrist turns, the cat's eye effect gemologists call chatoyancy. It is a genuine optical property, not a finish, and because every bead is cut from natural stone, no two bracelets carry the same pattern: yours is the only one exactly like it.

Worn for courage, for centuries

Tiger eye has been carried as a stone of courage and steady confidence since antiquity, from Roman soldiers to modern desks. Caligio makes no promises on behalf of a mineral, but if you believe a stone can carry meaning, this one has carried that meaning longer than most, and in gold it wears the meaning openly.

Click shut, stays shut

The clasp is a polished steel cylinder with a push-button lock: press to open, click to close, a firm mechanical hold with no moving parts to fuss over and a profile so low it reads as part of the design. The darker twin is the Prime Black Beads with deep dark tiger eye, and the rest of the leather family lives in the Prime collection.

Leather, stone, steel: three materials, easy rules

The push-button clasp is stainless steel and needs nothing. The braid is Italian leather and follows leather's one law: stay dry. The beads are natural tiger eye, a hard quartz stone that asks only to be kept away from harsh chemicals that could dull its polish.

Prime Brown Beads is not waterproof

Take it off before the shower, the pool, and the ocean. Soaked leather dries stiff, and soaps and chlorine slowly dull the polish that gives tiger eye its moving band of light. Occasional rain drops are not an event, just towel them off. Heat is worse than water for the leather half: never dry it near a radiator.

Keeping the golden band bright

The chatoyant stripe lives in the stone's polished surface, and skin film is what dims it: sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream coat the beads and mute the gold. The bracelet goes on last, after everything you spray or rub in. A wipe with a soft dry cloth brings the band back; the leather, if it ever dulls, revives with a drop of colorless conditioner.

Care

• Put it on last, after sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream.
• Keep it out of the shower, the pool, and the ocean. Towel off rain drops.
• Never dry the leather near heat: radiators and dashboards crack it.
• Wipe the beads with a soft dry cloth to keep the light band bright.
• Store it in the Caligio pouch bag; stone beads prefer not to knock against other jewelry in a drawer.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. The clasp is stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, the safe default for reactive skin, and both leather and tiger eye are natural materials against the skin.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
