PRE-ORDER, ships November 25. A limited capsule of new colors requested by DUO customers, 30 pieces per color, likely retired after this run. Only order if you are happy to wait. Free shipping on this item, so place it as a separate order to avoid delaying your other bracelets.

Anchor Chain Steel & Sky Blue
is a blue and silver bracelet for men built as a double round box chain: two rows of polished 316L surgical stainless steel links with light sky blue cord woven between them, finished with a silver fold-over clasp that closes flush against the wrist. It is the lightest color on the Anchor Chain.

Sky blue is the color of open water on a clear day, the sea the Anchor Chain name has been pointing at all along. Where navy is the deep water and behaves like a neutral, sky blue is the surface in sunlight and reads as a color. Against polished steel the two sit close in temperature, so the bracelet looks cool and clean rather than loud: the calmest bright color in the line, easy beside a white shirt, stone chinos, a linen jacket, or a summer suit.

The Anchor Chain takes its name from the sea, not from its links. A classic anchor chain bracelet, also sold as a mariner link or mariner chain bracelet, is built from oval links with a bar across each center; this one is a double round box chain, rounder and denser, with marine-grade cord binding the two rows into one band. It is waterproof for daily life: showers, rain, and the pool are fine. Rinse it in fresh water after the ocean.

Sizes Small up to 6.7 inches, Medium up to 7.2, Large up to 8 - Medium fits most men. $69, gift-boxed, designed in Los Angeles. The deep-water version is Steel & Navy Blue, the same sky blue on a single box chain is the Duo Silver & Sky Blue, and the full lineup lives in the Anchor Chain collection.

Sky blue or navy

The Anchor Chain carries two blues on the same silver chain, and they do opposite jobs. Steel & Navy Blue is the deep water: it behaves like a neutral, sits under a suit cuff, and disappears into a dark wardrobe. Steel & Sky Blue is the surface in sunlight: it stays visible, lifts a white shirt, and belongs to the warmer months. Take navy for every day, sky blue for the days you want the color seen.

Same color, different chain

Sky blue also lives on the Duo Silver & Sky Blue, a single 5mm box chain with cord laced through it that can be cut away to leave a plain chain. The Anchor Chain is two rows of round box chain with the cord woven permanently between them, so it reads as a wider, flatter band. Worn together they stack cleanly.

Where it sits in your rotation

Summer, the coast, white and cream, stone chinos, light denim, a linen jacket. It sits comfortably beside a steel watch with a white or blue dial. If your watch runs gold, the Anchor Chain Gold & Sky Blue carries the same cord on a gold chain. The full lineup lives in the Anchor Chain collection.

Designed in Los Angeles since 2020. Ships gift-boxed.

316L surgical stainless steel

The chain and clasp are made from 316L surgical stainless steel, the medical-grade alloy used in surgical implants and premium watch cases. Its high chromium content forms a self-repairing oxide layer on the surface, which is why 316L does not rust, does not tarnish, and does not turn skin green. It contains no nickel available to the skin and no copper, so it is safe for sensitive wrists and continuous daily wear.

Natural steel finish

This variant carries no coating at all. The silver tone is the color of the alloy itself, polished, which means there is no plating layer that can wear through and no finish that can change color over time.

Light cord

Sky blue marine-grade cord runs between the two rows of links, dyed through the fiber rather than coated on the surface. A light color shows what a dark one hides, mainly the film that sunscreen and lotion leave in a braid, so the habit that keeps it bright is simple: put it on after anything you spray or rub in, and clean it with a damp cloth and a little mild soap if it dulls.

Care

  • Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear. This is the only routine care the piece needs.
  • Showers, rain, sweat, and pool water are fine for both the steel and the cord.
  • Rinse with fresh water and pat dry after salt water or chlorine.
  • Put it on after cologne, sunscreen, or lotion, once the skin is dry.
  • Store it in the Caligio pouch bag, away from direct sunlight.
  • Skip bleach, alcohol, abrasive cleaners, and ultrasonic jewelry machines. None of them are needed.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys, and fading comes from thin electroplating. This piece uses neither. If you have reacted to jewelry before, 316L steel is the alloy dermatologists point to as the safe default, and the hypoallergenic range at Caligio is built on it.

What color is sky blue?

A clear, light blue, the color of open water on a sunny day. People search for it as light blue, baby blue, or powder blue. It is noticeably lighter than navy and cooler than turquoise, with no green in it.

Can men wear a light blue bracelet?

Easily. Light blue is already one of the most common colors in menswear, on shirts, denim, and summer suits, so on a wrist it looks familiar rather than decorative. Against polished steel it reads cool and clean, the calmest bright color a man can wear.

What goes with a blue and silver bracelet?

White, cream, stone, light denim, and navy, plus a steel watch with a white or blue dial. It is at its best in summer against a tan and a white shirt. Avoid a gold watch on the same wrist, where the warm metal fights the cool blue.

Sky blue or navy?

Navy is the deep water: it behaves like a neutral and works every day, including under a suit cuff. Sky blue is the surface in sunlight: it stays visible and belongs to warmer months. Many men own both and switch by season.

How is it different from the Duo Silver & Sky Blue?

The color is the same, the build is not. The Duo is a single 5mm box chain with cord laced through it, and the cord can be cut away to leave a plain chain. The Anchor Chain is two rows of round box chain with the cord woven permanently between them, so it reads as a wider band. The two stack well together.

Will a light blue cord get dirty?

A light color shows more than a dark one, but what dulls it is oil from sunscreen and lotion, not wear. Put the bracelet on after those, and if it dulls, a damp cloth with a little mild soap brings it back. The cord is dyed through the fiber, so cleaning never removes the color.

Why is it called Anchor Chain?

For the sea, not the link style. A classic anchor chain bracelet, also sold as a mariner link or mariner chain bracelet, is made of oval anchor links crossed by a center bar. Caligio's Anchor Chain is a double round box chain with marine-grade cord between the rows: its own build, and in sky blue, the color of the water itself.

Does it have an anchor on it?

No charm and no anchor clasp. If you want a men's anchor bracelet with an actual anchor closure, those are Caligio's Sailor and Endeavour bracelets. The Anchor Chain carries the maritime look in the chain itself.

Is it waterproof?

Yes. 316L steel never rusts or tarnishes, and the marine-grade cord barely absorbs water, so showers, rain, sweat, and the pool are fine. Rinse it in fresh water after the ocean, since salt left in a light cord dulls it over time.

Are stainless steel bracelets hypoallergenic?

316L surgical stainless steel is hypoallergenic, nickel-free and copper-free, and is the same alloy used in surgical implants. It causes no green-wrist reaction and is safe for sensitive skin and continuous daily wear. This chain and clasp are made entirely from it.

What size bracelet fits a 7 inch wrist?

Medium, which fits wrists up to 7.2 inches, is the right size for a 7 inch wrist and suits most men. Small fits up to 6.7 inches. Large fits up to 8 inches. The fold-over clasp means the size is fixed, so if you sit between two sizes, go one up.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.
