Contrast or stealth
The Anchor Chain comes in two black-cord versions, and they do opposite jobs. Steel & Black separates its two elements: the silver chain and the black cord read as two distinct things, so anyone who looks can see that a cord runs through the metal. The Steel & Navy variant blends its elements into one calm object; this one shows the work. Black & Black goes the other way entirely, a black chain with black cord that reads as a single monochrome band. Choose Steel & Black when you want the construction seen, Black & Black when you want the bracelet to disappear into the outfit.
Why two rows
Most chain bracelets are one row of links, and one row rolls: the links turn on the wrist until the chain shows its edge. Here two rows of round box chain are bound together by the woven cord into one band, so the bracelet stays face-up and the black line between the silver rows stays centered all day. Two rows also give the chain the presence of a wider piece while each link stays small and neat.

316L surgical stainless steel
The chain and clasp are made from 316L surgical stainless steel, the medical-grade alloy used in surgical implants and premium watch cases. Its high chromium content forms a self-repairing oxide layer on the surface, which is why 316L does not rust, does not tarnish, and does not turn skin green. It contains no nickel available to the skin and no copper, so it is safe for sensitive wrists and continuous daily wear.
Natural steel finish
This variant carries no coating at all. The silver tone is the color of the alloy itself, polished, which means there is no plating layer that can wear through and no finish that can change color over time. What arrives on your wrist is what the bracelet will look like in ten years.
Woven cord
Black marine-grade cord runs between the two rows of links, dyed through the fiber rather than coated on the surface, so there is no layer to scratch away. Black holds its depth better than any other cord color here, since there is no lighter tone underneath for sun to reveal.
Care
- Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear. This is the only routine care the piece needs.
- Showers, rain, sweat, and pool water are fine for both the steel and the cord.
- Rinse with fresh water and pat dry after salt water or chlorine.
- Put it on after cologne, sunscreen, or lotion, once the skin is dry.

Skin sensitivity

What is the difference between Steel & Black and Black & Black?

Is a chain bracelet appropriate at the office?

What is a round box chain?
A box chain made of rounded links rather than sharp-edged cubes. The rounded profile slides over skin and cuffs instead of catching, and returns light as an even shine. On this bracelet two rows of it run side by side, with black cord woven between them.
Will the silver color fade or wear off?
No, because there is nothing on top of it. The silver tone is the natural color of polished 316L steel, not a plating or a coating, so there is no layer that can wear through. This variant is the most permanent finish in the collection.
