The Egoist, reduced to one line

The Egoist Alfa takes Caligio's most minimal leather design one step further: a single solid band of smooth espresso leather, one unbroken line around the wrist, carrying a polished screw shackle between two steel keepers. It is the alpha form of the idea, the men's leather bracelet at its most elemental, a silhouette proven by decades of wear because there is nothing on it that fashion can date.

Espresso and polished steel, the watch-strap pairing

Brown leather against bright steel is the combination every dress watch already taught the eye to trust, and on a single clean band the pairing reads more watch-strap than bracelet, which is exactly the register the Brown Alfa aims for. The steel keepers flanking the shackle, the detail borrowed from a good belt's metal loop, frame the hardware and hold the band's line perfectly flat.

The widest customization in the line

The screw-pin D-shackle, engraved with the Caligio name, fully detaches, and the Alfa offers all four finishes: Silver, Black, Gold, and the C-Type, the Caligio initial worn as hardware. Four shackles across four sizes makes sixteen configurations of this one bracelet, the widest choice in the Egoist line, with spares in the bracelet parts collection.

Leather rules, steel exceptions

The shackle and keepers are stainless steel and need nothing: no rust, no tarnish, ever. The band is genuine leather, and leather has one law: it lives long and looks better with age if it stays dry.

The Alfa is not waterproof

Take it off before the shower, the pool, and the ocean. A smooth solid band handles a splash better than a braid, but soaking swells the fibers and dulls the surface. Occasional rain drops are not an event, just towel them off. Heat is worse than water: never dry leather near a radiator or leave it on a dashboard in summer.

One band, easy habits

A single smooth surface is the easiest leather to keep: product film is the only enemy, so the bracelet goes on last, after sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream. A soft dry cloth revives the sheen in seconds; a drop of colorless leather conditioner, worked in once in a while, keeps the espresso deep. The steel keepers polish with the same cloth.

Care

• Put it on last, after sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream.
• Keep it out of the shower, the pool, and the ocean. Towel off rain drops.
• Never dry it near heat: radiators and dashboards crack leather.
• Buff band and keepers with a soft dry cloth; a drop of colorless conditioner keeps the leather supple.
• Check the shackle pin is snug now and then; it threads tight in seconds.
• Store it in the Caligio pouch bag, away from direct sun.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. Shackle and keepers are stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, the safe default for reactive skin, and the band is natural leather.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
