Two leathers, one wrist

Endeavour is the only two-tone piece in the Sailor line. Black and brown leather are braided together rather than laid side by side, which means the colors do not sit in stripes; they cross over each other along the whole length of the bracelet. From a step away the wrist reads as one deep, shifting brown-black. Up close the braid separates into two distinct hides. This is the trick every good leather goods maker knows: contrast placed inside a weave becomes texture, not pattern.

The anchor is the closure

There is no clasp hidden underneath. The polished 316L surgical stainless steel anchor is the working mechanism and the design at the same time: the leather rope hooks into the arms of the anchor, and the tension of the bracelet holds it there. Once your fingers learn the motion it takes one hand and about two seconds. Nothing about it is decorative and nothing about it is fragile.

What you are actually wearing

Double-braided genuine leather in black and brown, closed by a machined 316L steel anchor. The double braid gives Endeavour a thicker, more textured body than any single-strand bracelet in the catalog. Three sizes, unisex. Leather, so not waterproof. Rain and humidity now and then will not hurt it; swimming, showering, and soaking will.

Genuine leather and 316L steel

Endeavour combines two materials with opposite needs. The 316L surgical stainless steel anchor is indifferent to everything: it does not rust, tarnish, or turn skin green, and water does nothing to it. The braided leather is the part that asks for attention, and it is the part that rewards it, because leather is the only material in this catalog that improves with age.

Not waterproof, and what that actually means

Do not swim in it, do not shower in it, and do not leave it soaking. Caligio does not recommend wetting leather at all. That said, a bracelet caught in rain or worn through a humid afternoon has not been damaged. Blot it with a dry cloth, let it dry at room temperature away from radiators and direct sun, and it will be exactly as it was. What ruins leather is heat applied to wet leather, and repeated soaking, not a single wet walk home.

What the braid does over time

Double-braided leather softens against the wrist, darkens slightly at the contact points, and relaxes by a small amount in the first weeks. This is why the snugger of two sizes is usually the right choice. The character it develops belongs to your wrist alone and cannot be bought new.

Care

• Keep it dry. Take it off before swimming, showering, and the gym.
• If it gets wet, blot with a dry cloth and dry at room temperature. Never use a hairdryer, a radiator, or direct sun.
• Wipe the steel anchor with a soft dry cloth to keep the polish bright.
• Apply a small amount of neutral leather conditioner once or twice a year if the braid feels dry. A little is enough.
• Store it in the Caligio pouch bag, flat, away from heat.
• Never use bleach, alcohol, abrasive cleaners, or ultrasonic machines on leather.

If you want a bracelet you never take off

Leather is not the material for that, and no honest brand will tell you otherwise. The waterproof bracelets collection holds the pieces built for water: nylon rope on steel, and solid steel cuffs.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
