Making a bracelet for a large wrist is not a matter of adding inches. A standard anchor sitting on a 9 inch wrist looks lost, the way a small watch does on a broad forearm, and no amount of extra leather fixes that. Endeavour XL carries an oversized steel anchor to match its length, which is the difference between a bracelet that fits and a bracelet that looks like it fits. It is the longest piece Caligio makes, reaching 9 inches.

Two leathers, one wrist

The braid is thick genuine leather, doubled, which gives Endeavour XL a body that holds its own against a heavy watch and a wide forearm. The steel anchor is the closure and not an ornament hung off one: the leather hooks into its arms and the tension of the bracelet holds it there. One hand, about two seconds, once your fingers learn the motion.

What you are actually wearing

Thick braided genuine leather closed by an oversized machined 316L surgical stainless steel anchor. One plus size, up to 9 inches. Leather, so not waterproof. Rain and humidity now and then will not hurt it; swimming, showering, and soaking will.

Where it sits in your rotation

Genuine leather and 316L steel

Endeavour XL combines two materials with opposite needs. The 316L surgical stainless steel anchor is indifferent to everything: it does not rust, tarnish, or turn skin green, and water does nothing to it. The braided leather is the part that asks for attention, and it is the part that rewards it, because leather is the only material in this catalog that improves with age.

Not waterproof, and what that actually means

Do not swim in it, do not shower in it, and do not leave it soaking. Caligio does not recommend wetting leather at all. That said, a bracelet caught in rain or worn through a humid afternoon has not been damaged. Blot it with a dry cloth, let it dry at room temperature away from radiators and direct sun, and it will be exactly as it was. What ruins leather is heat applied to wet leather, and repeated soaking, not one wet walk home.

More leather, more surface

A 9 inch bracelet carries more hide than any other piece Caligio makes, which means it collects character faster and shows conditioner going on unevenly more clearly than a short strap does. Work any conditioner in with a cloth in one direction, along the braid, and use less than feels right.

Care

• Keep it dry. Take it off before swimming, showering, and the gym.
• If it gets wet, blot with a dry cloth and dry at room temperature. Never use a hairdryer, a radiator, or direct sun.
• Wipe the steel anchor with a soft dry cloth to keep the polish bright.
• Apply a small amount of neutral leather conditioner once or twice a year if the braid feels dry, working along the braid rather than across it.
• Store it in the Caligio pouch bag, flat, away from heat.
• Never use bleach, alcohol, abrasive cleaners, or ultrasonic machines on leather.

If you want a bracelet you never take off

Leather is not the material for that, and no honest brand will tell you otherwise. The waterproof bracelets collection holds the pieces built for water: nylon rope on steel, and solid steel cuffs.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
