Anchor Chain Black & Neon Lime is a black and green bracelet for men built as a double round box chain: two rows of 316L surgical stainless steel links finished black through ion plating, with neon lime cord woven between them and a black fold-over clasp that closes flush against the wrist. A black chain with one line of neon green running through it.

Black is what makes neon read as neon. Sportswear has used the trick for decades: a fluorescent stripe on black kit glows, while the same stripe on white just looks yellow. Here the black links frame the lime cord on both sides, so the green sits in a dark channel and looks lit from inside. That is why this neon green bracelet still works with a black t-shirt, a black sport watch, and dark denim: everything except the cord is black.

The Anchor Chain takes its name from the sea, not from its links. A classic anchor chain bracelet, also sold as a mariner link or mariner chain bracelet, is built from oval links with a bar across each center; this one is a double round box chain, rounder and denser, with marine-grade cord binding the two rows into one band. It is waterproof for daily life: showers, rain, the gym, and the pool are fine. Rinse it in fresh water after the ocean.

Black is the frame, lime is the signal

Neon only looks like neon against something dark. Set beside polished steel, a fluorescent cord reads bright; set inside black, it reads lit. That is the whole idea of this variant: the ion-plated black links absorb light on both sides of the cord, so the eye has nowhere to go except the line of lime between them. It is the same reason a neon sign is built for the night and a black running jacket gets a fluorescent stripe.

Why two rows

A single black chain would read as a thin dark line, and a single neon cord would twist and show its edge. Two rows of round box chain tied together by woven cord stay flat and face-up, so the lime runs in a straight channel down the middle of a black band. On a color this bright, a straight line looks designed, and a twisted one looks like an accident.

316L surgical stainless steel

The chain and clasp are made from 316L surgical stainless steel, the medical-grade alloy used in surgical implants and premium watch cases. Its high chromium content forms a self-repairing oxide layer on the surface, which is why 316L does not rust, does not tarnish, and does not turn skin green. It contains no nickel available to the skin and no copper, so it is safe for sensitive wrists and continuous daily wear.

Black ion plating

The black finish is applied through ion plating, a vacuum process in the physical vapor deposition family, the same method used on blacked-out tool watches. It bonds the color into the surface of the steel rather than resting on top of it, so the finish is harder than the steel beneath it, resists scratching, and holds its depth through daily wear.

Neon lime cord

The marine-grade cord is dyed through the fiber rather than coated, so the color does not rub off. Like every fluorescent color, it stays brightest when it is kept out of long, direct sun when you are not wearing it, and a bright cord shows dirt sooner than a dark one: a rinse with mild soap and water brings it back.

Care

Wipe the chain with a soft dry cloth after wear.
Showers, rain, sweat, and pool water are fine for the steel, the ion-plated finish, and the cord.
Rinse with fresh water and pat dry after salt water or chlorine.
To brighten the cord, wash it gently with mild soap and water, then let it air dry.
Store it in the Caligio pouch bag, out of direct sunlight.
Skip bleach, alcohol, abrasive cleaners, and ultrasonic jewelry machines. Abrasives are the one thing that can dull an ion-plated surface.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys, and fading comes from thin electroplating. This piece uses neither. If you have reacted to jewelry before, 316L steel is the alloy dermatologists point to as the safe default.

What is a black and green bracelet?

Can I wear it to the gym?

Will the black finish scratch or chip?

For the sea, not the link style. A classic anchor chain bracelet, also called a mariner link bracelet, uses oval links crossed by a center bar. Caligio's Anchor Chain is a double round box chain with marine-grade cord between the rows, its own build with the maritime spirit of the name.

What size should I order?

Medium fits wrists up to 7.2 inches and suits most men. Small fits up to 6.7 inches, for smaller wrists and most women. Large fits up to 8 inches. The fold-over clasp fixes the size, so if you sit between two sizes, go one up.

Is it hypoallergenic?

Yes. The chain and clasp are 316L surgical stainless steel, nickel-free and copper-free, and ion plating adds no reactive metals. There is no green-wrist reaction, and it is safe for sensitive skin.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.
