The Nautical Bundle is not three colors picked because they go together. It is one coastline read from the water inward. Nautical Navy Blue is deep water, a navy rope threaded with black, white, and blue. Nautical White and Blue is the surf line, the exact place where the blue breaks open. Nautical Cap Ferrat is the sand you walk out onto, beige with a small French flag and a single red thread. Stack them in that order and the wrist runs from the horizon to the shore. That is why they layer without anyone deciding they should.

Cap Ferrat is a real place, and the bracelet is named after it

Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is a cape on the French Riviera, sitting between Nice and Monaco, and it has spent a century being the quiet address on a loud coast. The bracelet takes the beige of its beaches, the flag for where it stands, and the red thread as a reminder that the sunny hours are counted. It is the one piece in this set that is not blue, and it is the one that makes the other two look like water.

The palest rope is the one that will stay pale

Caligio built Cap Ferrat on nylon rather than the natural cotton used for Navy Blue and White and Blue, and the reason is the color. Beige is the shade that records every mark a wrist collects, and a synthetic braid resists what a natural fiber absorbs. So the bundle contains two cotton ropes in colors that forgive, and one synthetic rope in the color that does not. Nobody notices this in a photograph. Everybody notices it after a summer.

One metal across all three

Every bracelet in the set closes with the branded Caligio stainless steel D-shackle, so the stack has three ropes and one metal, which is what keeps it from turning busy. Each shackle unscrews by hand and can be exchanged for an O-type or the C-type in silver, black matte, or gold. Change all three and the set changes character. Change one and it gets a focal point.

Two cotton ropes and one synthetic, cared for the same way

All three shackles are stainless steel and will outlive the ropes they hold: no rust, no tarnish, no green marks on skin. The ropes differ. Navy Blue and White and Blue are natural cotton, which absorbs. Cap Ferrat is nylon, which does not, though its beige shows what cotton hides. The habit below covers all three.

A nautical bracelet is not a swimming bracelet

This surprises people, since the whole line is named for the sea. Take all three off before the shower, the pool, and the ocean. Cotton rope drinks water, dries slowly, and stiffens. Salt crystallizes inside a braid as it dries and cuts the fiber from within, which is the reason ocean water is harder on rope than pool water. Occasional rain is not a problem for any of the three. Beige is the color that keeps score

Cap Ferrat is the piece to put on last, after sunscreen and cologne, because oil is what turns a pale rope grey. Its nylon braid gives you room for error that cotton would not, but nothing forgives a hand cream applied over it. If it marks, work the spot with a damp cloth and a little mild soap and let it air dry away from heat.

Care

• Put all three on last, after sunscreen, cologne, and hand cream.
• Take them off before water. If they get wet, blot with a towel and dry at room temperature, never near heat.
• Rinse nothing in salt water, and never let salt dry inside a braid.
• Spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. No bleach, no machine wash.
• Tighten each shackle pin finger tight once a month. Never with pliers, which strip the plated thread.
• Store them in the Caligio pouch bag rather than loose, where rope collects dust.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys. All three shackles are stainless steel, which is the safe default for reactive skin and continuous daily wear.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
