The clasp with nothing to lose

Every other cord bracelet Caligio makes closes with a shackle and a screw pin, and a screw pin is a small object that can loosen, back out, and go missing on a train platform. Monro removes the problem by removing the part. Its closure is a T-shaped steel hook that drops into a loop and holds under the natural tension of the cord. No pin, no screw, no thread, nothing to tighten and nothing to lose. It goes on one-handed in about a second and comes off the same way, and in five years it will work exactly as it does today, because there is no mechanism to wear out.

Brown that behaves like a neutral

Brown occupies an unusual position on a cord bracelet. On leather it is expected. On rope it is a deliberate choice, warm where the category runs cool, and it slots into the denim-and-boots axis that most rope colors sit outside of. Monro Brown is the quietest piece in the line and the one that disappears into a wardrobe rather than announcing itself, which is why it outlasts brighter pieces in the rotation.

Top-grade nylon cord in a slim profile, closed by a branded T-hook mount shackle in polished 316L surgical stainless steel. Hypoallergenic and unaffected by water. Three sizes: Small up to 6.7 inches, Medium up to 7.2 inches, Large up to 8 inches. A clasp with no maintenance

Most bracelet care advice is really clasp care advice: tighten this, replace that, check the pin. The Monro T-hook has none of those instructions because it has none of those parts. A steel hook seats into a loop and the cord's own tension holds it. Nothing to service, nothing to lose, nothing that gets harder to use as the years pass.

Waterproof by construction

Monro is a waterproof bracelet. Top-grade nylon does not absorb water, swell, stiffen, or hold a smell, and 316L surgical stainless steel does not rust. There is no leather to protect and no coating to lift, so swimming, showering, salt water, and chlorine are all within normal use rather than exceptions to it. This is the practical argument for a brown cord bracelet over a brown leather one in any climate warm enough to sweat in.

Top-grade nylon

The cord is dyed through the fiber rather than coated on the surface, so there is no layer to scratch or wear away. Mid-tone browns show everyday wear least of all the Monro colors, sitting between the extremes that reveal it.

316L surgical stainless steel

The T-hook mount shackle is machined from 316L surgical stainless steel, the medical-grade alloy used in surgical implants. Its high chromium content forms a self-repairing oxide layer, which is why 316L does not rust, does not tarnish, and does not turn skin green. There is no plating on it, so nothing can wear through.

Care

• Rinse with fresh water and air dry after the ocean, a pool, or heavy sweat.
• Wipe the steel with a soft dry cloth to keep the polish bright.
• Take it off before applying cologne, sunscreen, or lotion, then put it back on once the skin is dry.
• Store it in the Caligio pouch bag, away from direct sunlight.
• Never use bleach, alcohol, or abrasive cleaners. Fresh water is the only thing this bracelet needs.

Skin sensitivity

Green wrist marks come from copper alloys, and fading comes from thin electroplating. This piece uses neither. Cord touches skin for most of the bracelet's length, and 316L steel handles the rest.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
