Light color on a large wrist is the combination men are quietly told to avoid, and the advice is usually wrong. What makes a bracelet look heavy is bulk, not brightness. The two colors the sea already chose

White and navy is inherited rather than invented: the color of a hull against foam, of naval uniform, of every flag flown from a mast. The braid carries both, and the polished 316L steel anchor closes it. The anchor is the mechanism, not an ornament hung off one: the leather hooks into its arms and the tension of the bracelet holds it there.

What you are actually wearing

Braided genuine leather in white and navy blue with a machined 316L surgical stainless steel anchor. One plus size, up to 8.6 inches. Leather, so not waterproof. Rain and humidity now and then will not hurt it; swimming, showering, and soaking will.

Where it sits in your rotation

Linen, white shirts, boats, denim, and the stretch between May and September. Below 8 inches, the standard Sailor White and Blue is the correct choice. The year-round counterpart at this length is Sailor Black XL, and above 8.6 inches, Foss XL reaches 9. Genuine leather and 316L steel

Sailor White and Blue XL combines two materials with opposite needs. The 316L surgical stainless steel anchor is indifferent to everything: it does not rust, tarnish, or turn skin green, and water does nothing to it. The braided leather is the part that asks for attention, and white leather asks for slightly more of it than dark leather does.

Not waterproof, and what that actually means

Do not swim in it, do not shower in it, and do not leave it soaking. Caligio does not recommend wetting leather at all. That said, a bracelet caught in rain or worn through a humid afternoon has not been damaged. Blot it with a dry cloth, let it dry at room temperature away from radiators and direct sun, and it will be exactly as it was. What ruins leather is heat applied to wet leather, and repeated soaking, not one wet walk home.

Living with white leather

Wipe it with a dry cloth at the end of a day rather than at the end of a month, and it stays bright for years. Put it on after sunscreen, lotion, and cologne have dried, not before; oils are what darken pale hide, and none of it is reversible once absorbed. A summer bracelet meets more sunscreen than any other piece you own, which is the one thing worth planning around.

Care

• Keep it dry. Take it off before swimming, showering, and the gym.
• If it gets wet, blot with a dry cloth and dry at room temperature. Never use a hairdryer, a radiator, or direct sun.
• Put it on last, after lotions, sunscreen, and cologne have dried.
• Wipe the steel anchor with a soft dry cloth to keep the polish bright.
• Store it in the Caligio pouch bag, flat, away from heat and direct sun.
• Never use bleach, alcohol, abrasive cleaners, or ultrasonic machines on leather.

If you want a bracelet you never take off

Leather is not the material for that, and no honest brand will tell you otherwise. The waterproof bracelets collection holds the pieces built for water: nylon rope on steel, and solid steel cuffs.

To define the correct sizing of your wrist, we highly recommend using a tape measure and measuring the circumference of your wrist just above the hand. However, if you do not have a special measure, use a small piece of tape or a cord. Wrap it around your wrist and measure the length against a ruler.

If you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply would like to return the product, you can do so within 30 days from the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be unworn and in its original packaging, free from any odors (deodorant, perfume), stains, or signs of wear. The original gift box and velvet pouch must be included - returns without original packaging will not be accepted. Please note that a $9.99 shipping and handling fee applies to all domestic returns and will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Once your return is approved, please send the item(s) back within 7 days. 

For exchanges within the US, your first exchange is completely free and will be dispatched within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Subsequent exchanges are at the customer's expense.
